Comida

Since being here in Spain I have eaten some pretty interesting food. Jámon (ham) is everywhere in Spain. Jámon in pasta, jámon flavored chips, jámon tapas. Now if you have ever eaten with me you know I don't like ham and don't like pork products, so eating here has definitely been an adjustment!

Tapas are a type of small appetizer. Sevilla is famous for tapas and the first few days of orientation I went to tapas every night with my orientation group! There are a wide variety of tapas! The weirdest part is that you don't get plates, everyone just uses their forks on the main dish and shares.

Eggs and Potatoes
My host family has been trying to make me food that I like! They make a really good lentil soup and other kinds of soups (I'm not really sure what they are) as well! I told them I liked pizza the other day and they made me pizza and then let me eat the rest for breakfast!

The best part of the food here is the cafes. They have great hot chocolate called cola cao and good coffee with milk too! I had to give in and get Dunkin Donuts (or Dunkin Coffee here in España) tho! Ordering donuts in Spanish is not as easy as it seems... I didn't know what was in 98% of the donuts, but this chocolate filled one turned out great!
