My first weeks in Sevilla

Hola from Sevilla! I came to Sevilla convinced that I would not be writing a blog, but I am giving in. I have been in Sevilla for the past 2 weeks so i'll try and give a quick summary of my time here so far!

The first week was a whirlwind of orientation activities and getting used to getting around (still not sure I am perfect with this).
This is my orientation group (Group 3)! My orientation guide, Juan, is a student at University of Sevilla. He showed us around Sevilla taking us to the University of Sevilla, the cetas (mushrooms - a sightseeing deck in Sevilla), and showed us the main shopping streets.

The second week classes started. I have 2 weeks of a 3 hour grammar class each day. The class is a basic review.

This past weekend I took two excursions. On Saturday, I went to see the Itálica Roman Ruins - about 20 minutes outside of Sevilla. Then on Sunday I went on an 11km (8mile) hike in Sierra de Aracena! I never thought I would enjoy hiking, but the beautiful towns and paths were absolutely amazing!

I'm going into my 3rd week. Last week of intensive grammar class. I am settling in well and falling in love with this city! I'll try to post more than every 2 weeks! Enjoy the adventure with me!
