This weekend I traveled to Madrid with 4 other girls! We took a 6 hour bus from Sevilla to Madrid. We were very excited to discover free wifi on the bus! Free wifi is a rare thing to find in Spain and therefore finding some is always very exciting!!
The first night in Madrid we wandered around and explored. We found this very cute romantic dinner restuarant. At first we sat outside by heaters and under blankets, but when it started raining we had to move inside. The restaurant was gorgeous, the food delicious, and the olive oil abundant. A perfect first night.
The next day, Saturday, was a jam packed day. In the morning we met up with my friend Matt, who goes to Elon also, and three of his friends at a delicious chocloteria. We spent the next few hours wandering around through beautiful parks in Madrid, grabbed lunch, and went to the famous Prado art museum. It was really great to meet up with Matt and see a friendly face in Spain. At night we went to a restaurant and sampled various spanish cuisine such as paella and croquetas. Overall a very successful day!
This morning we woke up and went to see the royal palace and then hopped back on the bus to Sevilla. I just got back and am ready to start my full week of classes!! Overall the trip to Madrid was very successful! Can't wait to travel some more!
